There are new potions as of 1.9 (lingering potions) and there are redstone crafting recipes for custom potions. This method would make the redstone crafting potions more fun/challenging to make. (Flight potion, Mining Potion, Crafting Potion, and Potion of Nourishment).

The main item of each could be Enchanted versions of the main items, for example: The apple for the Potion of Nourishment
